Are You Maximizing Your Safelist Use?
What kind of results are you getting from your Safelist usage? Are you getting the responses that you need?
Here are a few of the things that may be going wrong.
Emphasis on Subject Lines
No matter how great your product or service, if no one opens your email, they will never know the benefits of the services you are offering. Your subject line needs to be compelling. It must jump off the page! If most opt-in recipients are like me, they are only scanning the pages. There may be anywhere from 50 to up to 500 or more emails on a page, therefore, your message must jump out at the viewer, and capture their interest within a split second.
It's a plain fact, that it is almost physically impossible to read every single email you receive, particularly if you belong to several lists. If you're new to Safelist mailing, you may take more time reviewing emails, but after awhile, the obligation to read dwindles, and it becomes strategic. You're looking for keywords, phrases, and headings that WOW you, and believe me, most everyone else is doing the same thing.
Are You Testing Your Subject Lines
If you aren't using trackers to determine which emails are receiving click-troughs, you are making a big mistake. Start putting these in place. This will help you determine which subject lines are getting the most attention, and which ones you need to dump or revise. Oftentimes, changing a single one or two, will make a world of difference.
Also, I will not send an email out without taking it through a headline analyzer. I keep a list of my headlines along with the analyzer score. 100% is the top score, with headings ranging between 25-50% being the norm. I stop using any headline on my websites or in my subject lines that fall below 50%, and I will usually try to rework them until I can get a higher rating.
The email I use to promote the uMail2Millions Safelist is as follows:
"Free, Easy, Lucrative Safelist Mailing Opportunity"
It scored 100% on the Headline Analyzer, so you can believe you will be seeing this headline a lot!
This is one of the best free tools I have found on the internet (along with keyword generators). To test your headlines for free, the link is included at the end of this article.
Free Safelists vs. Paid
Don't get me wrong, there are some decent free only Safelists out there, but if the Safelist owner isn't making any money, they may not be readily available to provide the best service and upgrades. To provide and maintain a quality site takes time, and money! Also, you usually don't get the best responses from free only Safelists. Most of the participants don't want to spend any money, and most likely will spend very little on the products being offered.
Look for Free, with upgraded membership options; and put the money aside to join several paid Safelists. The benefit is that you have more frequent mailing opportunities, use of atuosubmitters, html, and often many more features, including the chance to mail to a larger email base. Many of the paid memberships will restrict the mail from free members, which is a good thing. Some free Safelists only allow mailings every 48 to 72 hours, some as infrequently as once a week, and will restrict the number of members that you can send to.
Have you put your auto-submitter to work for you?
With any Safelist you join, look for auto-submitter features. The time you will save posting your message on sites with these features is tremendous. The uMail2Millions Safelist will auto send your message for up to 30 days. The Safelist market is strictly a game of numbers; the more safelists you can submit to automatically, will create the opportunity for better results. Imagine trying to submit to a 1000 Safelists manually.
Maximize Those Credits
Are you taking advantage of credits available from many Safelist memberships. By clicking on the credit links, you're not only earning credits or points towards future mailings; in some cases you even earn credits for banner ad placements. This increases your own product and site visibility through increased mailng opportunities and larger viewing audiences. Don't bypass those credit links..
Review Your Emails Daily
Don't let the dreaded bounce happen, otherwise you will find yourself wasting time trying to get reinstated to lists that have deleted you. Scan through your emails daily, and clean out your email boxes frequently. I was busy for three days and found nearly 20,000 emails in one mailbox. I probably have over 20 different addresses for all my businesses, (which is ridiculous, I really need to scale down); and when a mailbox is over run, it tends to make one a little crazy. Overflowing mailboxes make you reach for the delete button a lot faster as well. Yunknow is an email provider that is not only reasonably priced, but provides a great tool that deletes all your emails each night. See their link below.
Also, providers such as godaddy.com, and the free service offered by Google's gmail accounts will let you delete the whole lot with a click or two, which is also quite handy. Simple type in: mail.google.com
Overloaded Emails
I don't know who started putting a dozen ads into one email; but for some unbeknownst reason, many folks have jumped into this practice. Big mistake! Emails are beginning to look like classified advertising pages, with all kinds of stuff tossed into one email. Most people don't want to spend a lot of time in an email. You may even feel that way about this report, which is why you can take the time to review it at Tools4u-eZine, if you don't feel like continuing it here.
Keep your emails, short and to the point. Focus on one item, and avoid overloading your emails. I would recommend staying under 3 separate items, preferably one. You want click-troughs, not confusion. Sometimes, offering two many choices will make a person avoid making any choice at all. It's a lot easier to click the link in a simple email, then to have to decide which link you want to go to.
Have you made any money with Safelist mailings? Maybe not yet, but can you?
You bet! Safelist marketing is a numbers game, there is no if, and, or but about it! Success is solely based upon how many people see your ad period! How many people click your links, and how many people are persuaded to make the purchase. The more people that see your emails, the better chance you have of making a sale. With emailing, it may take sending a 100,000 or more ads daily to generate one or two customers or subscribers.
Your messages must be consisted, and must go out daily. The most important keys to your success will be "Attention Grabbing Headlines, Consistency, Luring Message Body Content, and equally Luring Site Content".
Combining all of the above, with a good product, will result in eventual sales and success!
Much Prosperity!

Which makes more sense to you, mailing to 200 people every 7 days, or to thousands or more daily?
